Course Description

Completing the Bachelor of Business in Economics will give you a qualification you can use across the world. You’ll learn to apply economic analysis to real-world situations. You’ll explore the fundamentals of economics and can then choose from a wide range of elective units to suit your interests and career goals.
You’ll gain a broad understanding of issues relating to individuals, organisations and society and develop the practical skills you need to identify business opportunities, analyse problems and implement solutions.
When you graduate, you’ll be eligible to become an Associate Professional member of the Economics Society of Australia. You can pursue a career in the financial sector, government departments, major corporations, education, and the health sector. You could work in a range of roles including industrial economist, a macroeconomist or a microeconomist.
Expand your expertise and career prospects by specialising in two areas of study and complete a double major within the same amount of time as a single degree. For example, you could combine the Economics major with a major in Finance or International Business. Find out more about double majors
