Course Description

The Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance provides students with the knowledge and skills to support allied health professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists and dieticians. Students learn how to develop and manage therapeutic programs that deliver holistic care to clients with rehabilitation needs.



The Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance allows the student to develop the core skills to work alongside and independently under the guidance of the multidisciplinary health and/or community health team. During the course the student will learn in a safe simulated environment before undertaking clinical placement in the field supported by our qualified and dedicated facilitators. Students will gain knowledge and practical skills that will enable them to develop and manage therapeutic programs to deliver quality care in the hospital or community rehabilitation setting.
On successful completion of the Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, graduates may progress to the Diploma of Community Services, Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled-Division 2 nursing).
