The Certificate IV in Screen and Media is uniquely designed to provide students with a practical application of skills and knowledge within the industry context of film and TV, animation and sports media. This course is well-suited to students who wish to explore a range of specialisms within the media industry before embarking on their chosen career path.
Students will develop a vast spectrum of fundamental skills in all areas of pre-production, production and post-production. Participants will explore the principles of storytelling and will develop skills and knowledge in writing and pitching, drawing and storyboarding, photography, audio and video production, post-production and visual effects, 2D and 3D animation along with strong industry knowledge and collaborative skills.
Participants will have the opportunity to take part in industry-based client projects and produce various productions adapted to film and TV, animation and sports media. The course also explores the history and social impact of creativity, online micro business opportunities and has a strong focus on content creation for YouTube.
