Course Description

The Diploma of Software Development is a practical, hands-on qualification aimed at having the learner industry ready. The course ensures that graduates have utilised the most up-to-date practices and current programming languages, including C#, Java, JavaScript, PHP, HTML5 and CSS3. Students will develop high-level technical skills, knowledge and engage in the development of fully functional mobile, web, desktop and cloud applications throughout the duration of the course.

The Diploma of Software Development is run as a project-based qualification, aimed at having the learner industry ready. The course ensures that graduates have experience developing in industry relevant languages, platforms and practices, with an emphasis on developing their problem-solving and team-work skills. Languages include C#, Java, JavaScript (ES6), SQL, PHP, HTML5 and CSS3. Platforms include React, Electron, Entity Framework, MS Azure, Cordova and React Native. Students will develop high-level technical skills, knowledge and develop fully functional mobile, web, desktop and cloud applications with appropriate levels of mentoring and consultation during the course.
