Entry requirements

Domestic students must meet the University's General Entry Requirements.

International students must meet the Admission Requirements for International Students.

International students must provide one of the following: UTASAccess Level 6 with a minimum overall score of 60% and no individual skill below 55%; or an IELTS score with an overall Band of 6 and no band less than 5.5; or a TOEFL (iBT) overall score of 72 (no individual skill must be lower than: Reading 10; Listening 9; Speaking 16; and, Writing 19) or a PTE Academic overall score of 50 with no score lower than 42, or provide evidence that you have studied for 2 years full-time with English as the sole medium of instruction and examination. These tests must not be more than 24 months old.

While no subject prerequisites apply for the degree, if you have not successfully completed General Mathematics TQA 3 (MTG315115), Mathematics Methods – Foundation TQA 3 (MTM315117) Mathematics Applied TQA 3 (MTA315109) or an equivalent pre-tertiary or higher level mathematics subject, you are required to complete either UPP075 Bridging Maths, BEA109 Introduction to Quantitative Methods, XAB090 Transition Maths or KMA003 Mathematics Foundation Unit before enrolling in BEA140 Quantitative Methods, one of the degree core knowledge units in the Bachelor of Business.

International students who have not completed General Mathematics TQA 3 (MTG315115) or an equivalent pre-tertiary or higher level mathematics subject are required to undertake the unit BEA109 Introduction to Quantitative Methods.
