To achieve this qualification, learners must have completed at least 80 hours of work as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency.
Learners are required to provide evidence of adequate language, literacy and numeracy skills to successfully undertake the program's academic and workplace experience requirements, prior to commencing the program. Learners will be interviewed during enrolment and a Client Needs Summary will be completed to identify any limitations to these requirements. Action will be taken to address these limitations.
A current National Police Clearance and Working with Children's Check are required prior to work placement in most community and mental health settings.

The Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Practice enables students to enhance their knowledge and skills to transfer to a more specialist area of mental health work, or to develop competence in any current mental health position.
