This Operating Theatre Technician skill set provides comprehensive training to prepare graduates to assist health professionals in an operating theatre.
Entry Requirements

Entry into this skill set requires the following:

- Applicants hold the HLT33115 - Certificate III in Health Services Assistance qualification or
- Applicants have completed or are concurrently enrolled in the HLT33115 - Certificate III in Health Services Assistance 12 unit Partial Qualification delivered at Holmesglen

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training students will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment (BKSB test) and a pre-training interview.

Prior to undertaking clinical placement, students will need to provide their health and immunisation status, complete a National Police Records Check annually and hold a valid Working with Children Check for employees. In order for this to occur, students must be at 18 years of age at the time of document preparation.

Throughout the course, it is highly recommended for learners to have access to a device, such as a computer, laptop, or iPad, along with a headset. This will enhance their participation in class activities and facilitate engagement in blended online learning.
