This course focuses specifically on the development of spoken and written language skills required to continue with higher education studies.

Entry Requirements

Entry to this course will normally be determined through diagnostic screening.

Previous English language test scores, usually not more than one year old, or completion of an appropriate English language course at another institution may also be used to determine the correct entry level.

The following are indicative scores for entry to CSWE IV FS mapped to a number of major international testing systems:
- IELTS General or Academic 5.5 in all skill bands
- TOEFL iBT - 46
- PTE Academic - 42 (minimum of 42 in each band)
- Cambridge English test (C1 Advanced and B2 First) - 162
