Certificate
This qualification provides you with the skills and knowledge to work as an ICT specialist, either as an independent network support technician or as part of a team. You will develop skills to manage and install small to medium computer networks, install and manage servers, administer network security, network and data integrity and troubleshooting.
A replacement for this program is under development. Please register your interest and details will be provided as soon as available.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, it is assumed that you have:
- Completed the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology specialising in network administration, or other relevant qualification; or
- Demonstrated vocational experience in a range of work environments using IT networking technologies, specifically:
- The ability to pass CCNA Routing and Switching - Introduction to Networks (TCP/IP model, OSI model, basic router configuration and IP addressing including VLSM);
- Working with the basic functions of the current version of Windows Server which might include Active Directory, domain controllers and user and group management.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
