Certificate
This program provides students with fundamental photographic skills and knowledge through largely practice-based instruction. Students will engage in a range of group and self-initiated activities and produce professional standard photographic folios on location and in the studio. Content includes image capture, enhancement, manipulation, printing and output for a range or purposes, lighting techniques, digital video, applied photo theory, imaging traditions, work safety and industry awareness.
The qualification or equivalent skills and knowledge are required for entry into the Diploma of Photo Imaging at CIT.
A number of units in this program can be counted towards completion of the Diploma of Photo Imaging.
You must have a Senior Secondary Certificate (Year 12) or a demonstrated interest in the field (this may include workplace or other practical experience). If you do not have a Year 12 qualification you will be required to demonstrate a literacy of ACSF Level 3 in writing and maths.
After you apply, CIT will email you with details about submitting a copy of your Australian Year 12 or how to complete the literacy assessment.
To study any course at CIT (excluding degrees and non-accredited training) you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
