Entry requirements

• A completed Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) with an equivalent ranking to the currently listed ATAROR
• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. OR
• Successful completion of two University level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies. OR
• A completed AQF Certificate IV or higher level qualification. OR
• Documentary evidence of training e.g. related courses and a minimum of three years relevant work experience. Work experience must include a statement by the applicant addressing the types of work they have undertaken and the reason(s) for their interest in the course. A statement of support (recommendation) from an employer or a professional person is highly desirable.

Vaccination Requirements required prior to study

Students commencing the Bachelor of Veterinary Technology will be required to be vaccinated against both Q Fever and Tetanus before commencing study on campus (including Intensive Schools) or workplace learning.

The Q Fever vaccine, Q-Vax, will require pre-vaccination screening and can be delivered by your general practitioner. Please refer to the Government Q Fever Vaccination Fact Sheet for further information.

The Tetanus vaccine is also available from your general practitioner and requires to be updated with a booster every 10 years. If you have already received your Tetanus vaccination you will need to provide evidence that his has been received within the indicated timeframe. Entry requirements

Australian citizens, permanent residents of Australia, or New Zealand citizens: Applicants should have one of the following for admission to the CSU Bachelor of Theology:

• Minimum ATAR required; or
• successful study at university level (minimum two subjects); or
• TAFE Cert III or higher VET qualification or equivalent industry qualifications; or
• successful completion of TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate (TPC) or a bridging program; or
• Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) with an equivalent ranking to the currently listed ATAR; or
• relevant industry experience of at least two years - this may include, but is not limited to, Church or NGO-type ministry, nursing or related healthcare professions ("the caring professions"), and school teaching at any level; or
• partial completion of TAFE Diploma level study (minimum 50 per cent).

Applicants for the Bachelor of Policing (Investigations) must be currently serving police officers and must meet the following Admission Requirements:

• Applicants must have successfully completed the Diploma of Policing (CSU), or the Diploma of Applied Policing (CSU), or the Diploma of Policing Practice (CSU), or the Associate Degree in Policing Practice (CSU), or the Diploma of Public Safety (Policing) (PUA50212), or a recognised law enforcement recruit training program in their jurisdiction.
• Applicants must also have completed or be undertaking the Advanced Diploma in Public Safety (Police Investigations) (PUA60312) or its equivalent detective training or education program in another jurisdiction.

Applicants for the Bachelor of Policing must meet the following Admission Requirements:

• Applicants must be serving police officers in a police service, or active as a member in a law enforcement organisation carrying out investigations and launching prosecutions on behalf of the public, with a minimum of one year experience demonstrated by a detailed resume.

Entry requirements

• A completed High School Certificate (or equivalent) with the minimum ATAR required (including adjustment factors).
• Completion of the HSC (or equivalent) with strong performance (such as 60% or higher marks) in subjects in the Information Technology area.
• Successful completion of at least two appropriate standard IT university-level subjects.
• For recent school leavers, a report from the School Principal, equivalent to that used in the School Recommendation Scheme (SRS), recommending the applicant as well-suited for university study.
• IT related professional certifications such as from CISCO, Microsoft, IBM and other professional industries.
• Two years relevant professional IT work experience (i.e. in areas such as programmer, analyst, systems administration, help desk, network support but NOT clerical roles such as data entry or secretarial) demonstrated by a detailed resume.
• A completed AQF Certificate III in Information Technology (including any specialisation of Information Technology) or a completed AQF Certificate III in an area related to Information Technology.
• Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) with an equivalent ranking to the currently listed ATAR.

Entry requirements

OR

Successful completion of a minimum of four university level subjects within a 12 month period (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) with a competitive ranking evidenced by the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

Please note that this is a competitive course and all applications are ranked.

IELTS (academic module) with a minimum overall score of 7 and a minimum score of 7 in each of the four components (listening, reading, writing and speaking) or equivalent test (including PTE, OET and TOEFL iBT).

Please note, we will accept ELP scores over a maximum of two test sittings in a six-month period only if:

• The student has achieved a minimum overall score of 7 in IELTS (or equivalent test) in each sitting, and
• Achieved a minimum individual score of 7 in IELTS in each component across the two sittings, and
• No score in any component of the test is below 6.5 in IELTS.
• If sitting the test over two sittings, results must be from the same acceptable test. For example, both IELTS tests.
• Attended and satisfactorily completed either an undergraduate degree or at least four years of any combination of secondary or tertiary education, including at least two years between years 9 to 12, taught and assessed solely in English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, UK or USA.

• Applicants will be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background; AND
• Hold one of the following:
• Cert III with experience in mental health; OR
• Cert IV or higher qualification e.g. diploma; OR
• HSC with a minimum ATAR of 60 (adjusted); OR
• Holds an employment contract for a traineeship with NSW Health or Victoria Heath for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Mental Health Worker (copy of employment letter must be provided); OR
• Successful completion of the Charles Sturt University 'Undergraduate Certificate in University Preparation'.

Entry requirements

Applicants will be admitted to the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) if prior studies are assessed as meeting the Selection Rank for the course (see below). This includes applicants who meet the selection rank but have NOT achieved three HSC Band 5's with one of those in English. This requirement is met through the course design which has students studying a full first year of discipline studies in the subjects they will teach and a mathematics/numeracy discipline subject (0 points). In addition, applicants must meet non-academic entry requirements.

Applicants with recent secondary education (within past two years)

Applicants with higher education study

Successful completion of at least two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study

• A completed AQF Certificate III (or higher) at an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
• 50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification at an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

Applicants with work and life experience

Commissioned Officers from Australian Police, Fire, Mercantile Marine, Civil Aviation and Defence Forces (and related) can be admitted on the basis of rank, license, class, length of service and/or competencies achieved.

Completed bridging or enabling course

Successful completion of a Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

Applicants must demonstrate minimum capability in the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) non-academic attribute and motivation requirements for effective teachers.

English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements

Students must meet one of the following criteria:

• Born in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, USA, or United Kingdom, and have completed at least one senior secondary or tertiary qualification in one of these countries. This qualification must have been taught and assessed in English; OR
• Not born in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, USA, or United Kingdom, but have completed senior secondary study or at least three years of full-time university study (or equivalent) in one of these countries, and the language in which the qualification was taught and assessed was English; OR
• An IELTS (Academic) test result with an average band score of 7.5 across all four skill areas of listening, speaking, reading, writing, with no score below 7.0 in any of the four skill areas and a score of no less than 8.0 in speaking and listening. Testing results must be obtained within two years from the date of your application for admission; OR
• International Second Language Proficiency Rating (ISLPR) with a score of Level 4 in all four skill areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing, undertaken at approved testing sites where the assessment is teacher focused. Testing results must be within two years from the date of your application for admission.
