Kickstart a career as a residential or commercial concreter with a Certificate III in Concreting.

Learn to place concrete for various tasks, read and understand plans for a site, and operate in a range of commercial and residential settings.

Learn in GOTAFE's state-of-the-art workshops, and practice establishing concrete framework and placing and decorating concrete.

This course is delivered as a traineeship, and give students real-world experience with highly sought-after skills that will translate to their future workplace.

This course is available as part of the Free TAFE scheme for eligible students.

GOTAFE entry requirements

Before being accepted into the course applicants:

  • Complete a Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB)an online test to ensure the required literacy & numeracy levels for the course are met.
  • Undertake a Pre-training review interview to ensure the course suits their needs and aspirations, and that they are likely to complete the course successfully.
  • Complete the general construction induction training program, specified in the Safe Work Australia model Code of Practice: Construction Work. Achievement of CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry meets this requirement.

Please apply through an Apprenticeship Network Provider with your employer to organise your traineeship contract prior to applying for this course.

Technology requirements

In order to complete this course students will require:

  • Access to a laptop/computer with internet access.
  • Access to a digital camera or video camera for visual and audio assessment tasks.
