Certificate II in Building and Construction (Pathway - Trades) (Painting and Decorating Pre-apprenticeship)

The aim of this pre-apprenticeship is to provide learners with industry specific training to gain skills, knowledge and behaviours to enable transition into an indentured apprenticeship.

Skills developed include:

• painting techniques;
• interpreting plans;
• preparing surfaces;
• measuring;
• calculating the right amount of materials for the job;
• working with scaffolding safely at heights; and
• workplace health and safety.
