This course focuses on developing intercultural communication skills, enhancing English language proficiency, and fostering an understanding of cultural diversity and values.
The 21st century has become the era of cross-cultural communication as a result of increased connectivity in our world. Information technology, intensified migration and work opportunities make intercultural communication skills an essential component of working life. The rationale for this course is to make learners aware of their own cultural values and memberships and offer an opportunity to analyse, critique, probe, and make connections with their own and other cultures. While they do this, they acquire important skills that they can apply in their everyday communicative situations. The course also offers opportunities for participants to improve their general English language skills and enhance their communicative competence.
