In today's world, business need to quickly adapt and adopt to the technological and social changes that taking place.

This subject aims to create exposure to the contemporary theories/practices on competitive business environment with DVUCA (Disruptive, Volatility, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) in various industries. Students will learn from real life examples shared by industry leaders on how they manoeuvre their business to stay ahead with the adoption of recent technologies. This integrates with a sustainability mindset amidst the creative, disruptive, and innovative landscape. It aims to encourage students to examine the roles they play and the contributions they can make in their future.

Specifically, "Dialog with Industry" will attempt to address some of the questions on the trends in industry, e.g. AI and SDG, and how businesses in the DVUCA environment attempts to achieve sustainable competitive advantages.

On completing the course, students will be able to:

  • Explain the factors that affect the trends of contemporary business.
  • Describe the challenges that current businesses face in remaining competitive.
