  • Music Production/Technology: Dive into the world of sound with recording techniques, digital audio workstations (DAWs), and sound design, bringing your creative visions to life.

Entry Requirements

SPM/O-Level: Pass with minimum 3 credits

UEC: Pass with minimum 3 Grade Bs

Audition Requirement

All candidates must pass an audition (Portfolio + Self-introduction video) prior to entry into the programme.

You will need to submit 4 videos total:

  • 3 Audition pieces (choose Option A OR Option B below)
  • 1 Self-introduction video

OPTION A: PERFORMANCE PATHWAY

Demonstrate your musical capabilities through three contrasting pieces (minimum 1.5 minutes each).

What to perform:

  • All genres are welcome: classical, jazz, pop, rock, traditional, or a mixture of styles.
  • Pieces should showcase different aspects of your musical abilities.
  • Perform on your preferred instrument(s) or voice.

OPTION B: PRODUCTION /COMPOSITION PATHWAY

Demonstrate your musical creativity and production skills through three works (minimum 1.5 minutes each).

What to submit:

  • Any combination of original compositions, beats, remixes, arrangements, multi-track productions, or recordings.
  • Works should showcase different aspects of your creative and technical abilities.

SELF-INTRODUCTION VIDEO (1 MINUTE)

In your introduction video, please:

  • Introduce yourself clearly.
  • Share your musical background and experience.
  • Share why you're interested in studying music at Sunway University.
