Overview

The course analyses different forests ecosystems and their status, services they provide, different programmes for their sustainable management, and the economics behind current forest conservation financial mechanisms. Students will also acquire a thorough understanding of the ecological and evolutionary principles of biodiversity, investigating the relative impacts of environmental factors and historical contexts on biodiversity dynamics.
