About this course

Overview

This is a learn by doing course using design thinking and entrepreneurship methodology. In this course, students will develop a "growth mindset", which includes problem solving skills and the creation of feasible solutions to problem statements that have significant economic value and/or meaningful impact to the society. Students will be working in teams on real life industry challenges by building prototype solutions and pitching this to a panel of industry experts and investors.

On completing the course, students will be able to:

  1. Apply design thinking methodology to tackle industry challenges
  2. Build prototypes as a test model to obtain user feedback for potential solutions
  3. Apply the best innovation practices and strategies on new business opportunity creation
  4. Develop a business proposal presentation to communicate to external audiences effectively
