Overview

In today's dynamic and competitive workplace, the ability to tell captivating and inspiring stories is a key communication skill. This course helps students develop practical storytelling techniques for professional use. Students will learn how to analyse stories and understand key storytelling elements such as audience awareness, emotional impact and ethical considerations. Using proven storytelling frameworks and real-world examples, students will also learn to craft and deliver engaging stories for various purposes including audience engagement, personal branding, leadership as well as team and client communication. By the end of the course, students will be able to communicate more confidently and effectively through well-structured, purposeful stories.

On completing the course, students will be able to:

  • Critically analyse stories using storytelling frameworks and principles in relation to their purpose, audience and context.
  • Apply key storytelling frameworks and principles to develop engaging, structured stories for different workplace contexts.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver impactful stories tailored to specific audiences and purposes in professional settings.
