This accredited short course has a six (6) month duration. It is ideal if you are a licenced Electrician looking to refresh your skills and knowledge in applying compliance requirements to all aspects of electrical work.
In this short course, you will focus on maintaining electrical compliance, testing and verification practices in various workplace settings.
You will have the opportunity to refresh your skills in applying the work health and safety and electrical installation safety obligations of a person licensed to undertake electrical work. You'll also focus on the work health and safety requirements for identifying hazards, establishing levels of risk mitigation and control, and following safe working methods, as well as determining whether an electrical installation is compliant, dealing with installation defects and documenting activities and outcomes.
You will be required to provide proof of the pre-requisite unit UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace or its equivalent, and hold a current Unrestricted Electrical Licence or equivalent, issued in an Australian State or Territory.
On successful completion of this short course, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the unit undertaken.
Note - this course has been approved by Electrical Standards and Safety (ESS) and attracts 20 CPD points for Electricians who need Continuous Professional Development points towards the maintenance of their Electrical Practitioners Licence in Tasmania.
