Learn about the complex threat landscape and how to profile threat actors, including exploring threat-actor typology; advanced Persistent Threats (APTs); the APT Operational Line framework and phases of sophisticated cyber-actors.

Explore how cybersecurity protects organisations

Learn the role of cybersecurity in protecting information resources in organisations, and what the various cybersecurity requirements are. Explore cybersecurity models and frameworks; cybersecurity properties; cyber strategy objectives for modern organisations, and more.

Identify and perform a cyber threat assessment

Gain the skills to create templates for profiling cyber threat actors and to evaluate whether a template will be effective, given the cybersecurity requirements of organisations.

Course details

This course runs over four weeks, including one pre-teaching week, two weeks for delivery, and one week for assessment.

Your total time commitment is approximately 42 hours, which includes:

  • Threat Actor Profiles of Cyber-Attackers: a 1250-word individual report (100%).
