As cybersecurity threats become increasingly frequent and sophisticated, organisations of all stripes require the expertise to remain secure.
This micro-credential will give cybersecurity managers the advanced insights needed to develop cybersecurity strategies and manage incident response within organisations.
Developed with the Academic Centre of Cybersecurity Excellence (ACCSE), this course is aligned with industry standards.
Drawing on real-world case studies, you'll explore paradigms for protecting organisations from threats (such as prevention, detection, surveillance, deterrence, deception, and compartmentalisation), and how to integrate them to build an effective cyber defensive system.
Examine how organisations can best prepare for attacks and learn from past experiences. Examine the incident response process of detection, containment, eradication and recovery. Learn to strategise to protect IP and IT services and enhance cybersecurity capability.
Explore the role of key stakeholders within an organisation and how they should work together - such as how the Chief Information Security Officer provides strategic context to the incident response team.
Drawing on your new knowledge, you'll conduct a case analysis of an organisation's strategy and incident response management, and recommend how it could be improved.
