This course has been developed in consultation with leading professional services organisations, major business stakeholder organisations, and human resource management and organisational development practitioners.

Curriculum is based on real world needs and you complete the course with highly applicable skills and knowledge.

By the end of this course, you will have enhanced communication skills as a leader aligned with industry best practice. You'll be able to:

  • Analyse and explain the effectiveness of written, verbal, and non-verbal leadership communication, based on theories and evidence on cognitive processing, social identity formation, and social learning
  • Evaluate suitable leadership communication practices to influence followers and other stakeholders, in a variety of settings and communication channels
  • Formulate and justify a plan for integrating evidence-based leadership communication practices in the workplace.

This course runs over four weeks.

Your total time commitment is approximately 42 hours, which includes:

  • 9 contact hours
  • 13 hours self-study
  • 20 hours assessment tasks

Assessment:

  • Summative analysis of all topics incorporating a critical evaluation of personal-professional practice (60%)
  • 2 x written assessments articulating learned modules and evaluating personal-professional practice (30%)
  • Discussion participation and webinar attendance (10%).

Once you've successfully completed this course, you will be awarded your Effective Leadership Communication Melbourne MicroCert. This digital certificate will warrant the achievement of knowledge, skills and capabilities outlined in the learning outcomes. It may also include artefacts (such as videos and written material) related to both experiential and work-integrated learning, including translatable assessment that is practical to your professional life.
