This course has been developed in consultation with leading professional services organisations, major business stakeholder organisations, and human resource management and organisational development practitioners.

Curriculum is based on real-world needs. You'll gain skills and knowledge that are immediately applicable to your current role.

By the end of this course, you will have enhanced communication skills as a leader, aligned with industry best practice. You will be able to:

  • Analyse and explain causes and consequences of challenging team dynamics, drawing on theories and evidence on psychological safety and shared leadership
  • Evaluate suitable team leadership practices based on considerations of team task, members characteristics, and cultural context
  • Formulate and justify a plan for integrating evidence-based team leadership practices in your workplace.

This course runs over four weeks.

Your total time commitment is 34 - 42 hours, which includes:

  • Guided learning
  • Self-directed learning
  • Assessment tasks.

Assessment:

  • A summative analysis of all topics and a critical evaluation of your personal-professional practice (60%)
  • 2 x written assessments articulating what you've learned in the modules and evaluate personal-professional practice (30%)
  • Discussion participation and webinar attendance (10%).

Once you've successfully completed this course, you will be awarded your Leading Teams micro-credential. This digital certificate will warrant the achievement of knowledge, skills and capabilities outlined in the learning outcomes. It may also include artefacts (such as videos and written material) related to both experiential and work-integrated learning, including translatable assessment that is practical to your professional life. You can also share your micro-credential digitally and via social media by adding it to your personal platforms, such as LinkedIn. See example certificate.
