It's suitable for professionals from a broad range of sectors, including business services, manufacturing, health, NGOs, education, hospitality and aviation.

There are no eligibility requirements.

This course has been developed in consultation with leading professional services organisations, major business stakeholder organisations, and human resource management and organisational development practitioners.

Curriculum is based on real-world needs. You'll gain skills and knowledge that are immediately applicable to your current role.

By the end of this course, you will have enhanced communication skills as a leader, aligned with industry best practice. You will be able to:

  • Explore the different ways in which employees are motivated, including the benefits and consequences of goal setting
  • Generate actionable strategies for giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Apply major theories and models that help enable the action of others, including effective coaching principles and approaches to supporting others to achieve goals.

This course runs over four weeks.

Your total time commitment is an estimated 34 - 42 hours, which includes:

  • Guided learning
  • Self-directed learning
  • Individual or group-based experiential tasks
  • Assessment tasks
  • At least one Zoom meeting with your tutor.

Assessment:

  • In-module written assessment tasks (30%)
  • Discussion forum and webinar participation (10%)
  • A leadership development activity proposal (60%).

Once you've successfully completed this course, you will be awarded your Performance Management micro-credential. This digital certificate will warrant the achievement of knowledge, skills and capabilities outlined in the learning outcomes. It may also include artefacts (such as videos and written material) related to both experiential and work-integrated learning, including translatable assessment that is practical to your professional life. You can also share your micro-credential digitally and via social media by adding it to your personal platforms, such as LinkedIn. See example certificate.
