Understand the role of the 3 _a_ Coach

Gain a sound understanding of the role and responsibilities of the 3 _a_ Coach. Explore the principles of coaching, and the difference between mentoring and coaching. Develop the skills to play an important role in maintaining the fidelity of 3 _a_ implementation.

Deepen knowledge of key elements

Building on the 3 _a_ Practitioner training, you will spend time revising key 3 _a_ concepts and lexicon, including: Language Priority, Conversational Reading, Learning Games, and Enriched Caregiving.

Plan and facilitate a coaching session

Drawing on your new skills and knowledge, you'll plan a coaching session that focuses on 3 _a_ elements. You could apply this in your own setting.

3 _a_ Coach is for early childhood educators and parents wishing to enhance the quality of education-based interactions with children, and ultimately advance children's learning outcomes. It is designed to use with children from birth to age five.

To be eligible, you must have completed 3 _a_ Practitioner.

The Faculty of Education is at the forefront of 3a strategy Australia-wide. Our specialist training will provide you with practical, evidence-based teaching and learning strategies you can use in your setting immediately.

  • Recap key 3 _a_ concepts and lexicon
  • Principles of coaching - the difference between mentoring and coaching
  • Planning a coaching session with a focus on 3 _a_ elements.

By the end of this course you will be equipped to coach and mentor early childhood professionals in the implementation of 3 _a_ within your organisation. You will also have the skills to play an important role in maintaining the fidelity of 3 _a_ implementation.

The Faculty of Education is at the forefront of 3 _a_ strategy Australia-wide and offers specialist 3 _a_ training. You'll learn from education specialists.

This course runs over one day.

To become a certified 3 _a_ Coach, you need to successfully complete the knowledge test within 14 days of training.

The knowledge test assesses your understanding of the training. You need to achieve a score of 80% or more to pass it. You can sit the test up to three times.
