Melbourne Polytechnic Advanced Diploma of Music Industry (Performance) graduates are eligible to articulate into 2nd year of Bachelor of Music.

Applicants with higher education A complete or incomplete higher education qualification in any discipline will be taken into consideration as part of the audition and interview process.

This direct entry course is open to post-Year 12 students, mature aged applicants and people who have sufficient relevant vocational experience.

Hardware and operating system requirements

The minimum hardware and operating system requirements to satisfactorily complete all the units from the Diploma course are as follows:

  • Multicore 64-bit CPU (minimum 2 cores) with virtualisation support enabled
  • 8GB RAM is minimum but 16GB RAM is the recommended amount of physical memory installed
  • At least 256GB of Solid-State Disk (SSD) is highly recommended.

Prior to enrolment, applicants must meet the following entry requirements for this course:

  • You must have already received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine (or have an exemption) to be able to work and undertake placement in a healthcare setting. See coronavirus.vic.gov.au for recommended vaccination doses.

Prior to attending an interview for the CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services, please access and read the following documents from the Australian Community Workers Association:

Complying with the Australian Community Workers Association (ACWA) accredited course requirements, students will undertake a minimum of 400 hours supervised fieldwork placement during their 23 months of training.

Typically students will undertake 200 hours of placement at the end of their first year and 200 hours at the end of their second year, totaling 400 hours.

Melbourne Polytechnic has a placement co-ordinator who sources placement for students, liaises with industry organisations, and arranges workplace visits and assessments.
