Students must be currently employed as an apprentice signed up with an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network Provider. Nominal apprenticeship duration is three years. Each student will undertake a PreTraining Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individuals existing skills and knowledge language literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and or employment goals.

There will be an interview with teacher required, to confirm practical assessments can be carried out in the workplace.

The results of the Pre-Training Review will be known before the student commences in training and will be used to determine the suitability and appropriateness of the course to the student's needs - refer Pre-Training Review Procedure. All students are required to have a windows based computer (as the software used requires windows and not Apple Mac) and internet access, SuniTAFE provides student access to computers and internet through the Library.

Applicants must be willing to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check prior to practical placement and are responsible for all costs associated. Applicants must also be willing to provide proof of their up-to-date immunisation status for Covid-19 and influenza to employers to undertake practical placement if requested. Trainees must have a registered training contract agreement with their employer. Applicants may be required to provide a Working with Children Check to undertake practical placement, if requested, and would be responsible for associated costs.
