TasTAFE Courses

This course has the following essential entry requirements:

Minimum age of 18 years

To meet academic requirements for Diploma or Advanced Diploma courses, you need to successfully complete any TasTAFE course entry procedures and you also need to:

• Have completed year 12 and provide TasTAFE with a copy of your Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education awarded to you by an agency or authority of a State or Territory; OR,


• Provide TasTAFE with a copy of a qualification at Level 4 or above in the Australian Qualifications Framework that was awarded to you. This qualification must have been delivered in English; OR,


• Complete an approved language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment and display competence at or above Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) in both literacy and numeracy.

Applicants will need to complete a pre-interview worksheet and attend an interview.

This course has the following essential entry requirements:

• Minimum age of 18 years
• Recent bushwalking experience, preferably on walks of more than one day in duration involving camping in tents
• High level of physical fitness: Must be capable of carrying a large backpack weighing up to 18 kg and walking 10 km a day for consecutive days in hilly terrain
